Welcome to the Official Website for the Kanawha Amateur Radio Club!
We invite you to visit us at one of our club meetings on the first Friday of every month at the South Charleston City Hall Annex at 7 PM local time. We also would like to meet you on our Sunday night net every Sunday evening at 8:30 PM local time on the club’s 2-meter repeater at 145.35, input 144.75. The repeater usually has a PL of 91.5 but during the net the PL is off.
KARC
is very active in providing community service as well as having tons of fun!
We provide communications for the Charleston Sternwheel Regatta Distance
Run, numerous other runs and walks and parades.
While providing community service for our area, we are also practicing
for emergency operations when needed.
We
have our own Field Day site, designated Area 73 at Coonskin Park.
You are invited to join us during Field Day this year on June 23 – 24.
As well as operating using our W8GK club call, you will find others
sitting around talking about the “old days” of Ham Radio and meet up with
other members of the club.
Please take a look at the meeting schedule listed on the website.
Again,
welcome to our website. We hope to meet you soon!
73,
KARC Members
